Feliz Bueno Viernes

It appears that it has been nearly three months since I've last updated. I'll blame..... Yeah, I've got no one. It would be amazing if I had a really cool excuse. Perhaps I've been on a wilderness trek across the dangerous Ugandan outback. Maybe I've been learning to yodel. Alas, I have done nothing more entertaining than simply my schoolwork. It seems that I do a cussload of
that these days. In fact, if I were extremely studious, I'd be working on it right now instead of sitting at home three-quarters through with a good Good Friday. As far as school stuff goes, it seems like I've been writing a ton of papers recently. I've written one about the Roman backgrounds for the concept of adoption found in Paul's writing. I learned quite a bit even though I didn't do quite as well on that one as I would have hoped. I'm still working on my final English paper concerning the emerging/Emergent church. I think I've learned even more about that than I have about Roman adoption. It's been a tricky paper to try to condense into the required length, but I think it's going pretty well. The other part of that ton is just a bunch of smaller papers.
I have fewer than three weeks of classes left until I have completed my first year of college. That seems extremely strange to me since I'm pretty sure that I'm only about four weeks into this semester. It's gone by very quickly for whatever reason. I guess that's good but I'm anxious about these next few weeks with all of the stuff that's due.
When I came home for spring break (which was enjoyable by the way) we got a catalog from Frost Cutlery. A few weeks previously I had been visiting with one of my friends over at school and telling him about my knives. He expressed interest in purchasing some so Pop and I decided that we would order some more too. Now I already had a few of these. The main additions are the two 'knives' on my side and the one over my wallet.

It was a pretty happy day. I reckon that I'll let Dad post some pictures of his knives on his own blog, but I was certain that y'all would need to see these ones.
I apologize that I don't update as regularly as I should, but the good news is that I'll have monumentally fewer excuses in less than a month.
I love y'all and I'll look forward to seeing many of you in five weeks for Lauri's Graduation.
For Sunday's reference: He is Risen!

Nice Bean, that thought crossed my mind as well! I like all the knives, but your pictures are too large to be seen without going to the links! Well, enjoy stabbing things!!!

Hmm. It feels like there's something missing in your list of things you've been doing lately... what was that again?? Something about, like...my coming to visit you or something??? Maybe I was imagining that. Who knows. :) Tee hee just playin'. I'm glad you're home! I'm also pretty stoked about the graduating part!! And congrats on the knives!

Hmm. After so many months, I must be rife with snide comments. Then again, perhaps I will simply react as a dutiful uncle and praise you for a semester well spent and for reviving your blog. Naaah.

Where to start? Let's go ahead with the Easter salutation first. He *IS* risen.

Now, let's go to the photos. The last could look as if you have gotten cybernetic legs. Cool. Can you jump faster and run higher? Pretty sharp comments, huh?

Now. let's spend a sentence or two on your sentences. While the semester has seemed like four weeks, it's been more like four years here. And with Ali looking for a job and huge numbers of teacher layoffs, it's not over yet.

Your note about Roman adoption inspired me to think about a report I should write. Has any ever considered Roman candles as found in Josephus' writings? I thought not. I think it could prove enlightening, illuminating, and no one would torch it.

OK, nephew, good luck on your last three weeks.
